Amanda S. Aronoff Resigns as Executive Director

Search firm engaged to identify replacement

PHILADELPHIA--()--WOMEN’S WAY, the leading grantmaking, public education, and advocacy organization for women and girls in the Greater Philadelphia region, today announced that Amanda S. Aronoff, Esq. has resigned as Executive Director of the organization. Ms. Aronoff has served in her current capacity since October 2010, and, on the heels of the organization’s successful 36th Annual Powerful Voice Awards, has decided to resign to spend more time with her family.

Ms. Aronoff has served as a dynamic voice for women and girls in the region and leaves behind a strong legacy of advocacy and action. During her tenure, WOMEN’S WAY strengthened its financial base, expanded its public policy and advocacy programming, pioneered the use of social media in its communication efforts, and launched creative public education and marketing campaigns.

Amanda S. Aronoff stated, “My three years at WOMEN’S WAY have been some of the most fulfilling of my career. I went to work every day knowing that WOMEN’S WAY was helping to create a brighter future for women and girls. Our lives are not linear. WOMEN’S WAY not only envisions, but also strives to create a world in which women and girls have the choice and opportunity to pursue their dreams through every stage of their lives.”

In commenting on the announcement, Beth R. Glassman, Board Chair, said, “We thank Amanda for her service to WOMEN’S WAY and the women and girls we serve. She has shepherded our organization at a time when the community needs us more than ever. Amanda’s vision has helped to expand WOMEN’S WAY’s voice and influence in the community. We wish her well and honor her choice - a choice for which WOMEN’S WAY has tirelessly fought over the last 36 years.”

WOMEN’S WAY has engaged a professional search firm to identify Ms. Aronoff’s permanent replacement. In the interim, Beth R. Glassman, Board Chair, will lead the organization’s staff.
