BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Billaway, the only company that provides businesses with a rewards program that directly reduces customers’ monthly bills at the time of payment, today announced the launch of its API. With this API, companies can now integrate the Billaway rewards platform into its existing billpay or product purchase systems without any back-end integration.
The Billaway platform is designed to convert a portion of consumers’ everyday spending into a direct reduction of their monthly bills. Customers earn credits by shopping at more than 25,000 participating grocery, drug, general purpose and online stores using their registered credit, debit and store loyalty cards. Earned credits can then be redeemed at the time of online payment to reduce their monthly bills.
“Billaway is dedicated to utilizing everyday activity to reduce bills. Utility bills, which cost U.S. consumers more than $64 billion annually, are our primary focus,” said Paul Harkins, CEO of Billaway. “With this new API, we are making the Billaway rewards program more accessible to consumers and easier to integrate for any company where consumers pay a bill, purchase products/services, or donate to a cause, saving significant amounts for customers nationwide. We are also seeing businesses offer the unique platform to their employees as an employee benefit.”
Prior to the introduction of the Billaway API, customers could only sign up for the rewards program and redeem credits when they paid their bills on the Billaway website. Now, consumers can sign up for the rewards program directly through a company’s existing website. Earned credits will then be automatically applied to their monthly bills and the remaining balance can be paid as normal through the existing billpay system.
