NewsRight Joins Forces with Moreover Technologies / BurrellesLuce to Expand Content Licensing and Tracking Service

NEW YORK--()--NewsRight, LLC (www.newsright.com), announced today a decision by its board of directors to join forces with Moreover Technologies and BurrellesLuce to offer its content licensing, tracking and distribution services. “With the sales reach, technological and licensing capability of Moreover and BurrellesLuce, I believe what was established in NewsRight will continue to grow,” said Robert M. Nutting, chairman of the board for NewsRight.

The role of advocating for the protection of original news content through licensing will be assumed by the Newspaper Association of America (NAA).Licensing and tracking original content is a critical path forward to sustaining journalism and providing the public with trusted sources for news and information,” said Caroline Little, president and CEO of the NAA. “As both guardian and evangelist for the newspaper industry, the NAA feels a tremendous responsibility to protect original content generated by its members.”

“Moreover and BurrellesLuce are long time champions of publishers as demonstrated by our relationships with the NAA, NLA and NewsRight,” said Paul Farrell, President of Moreover Technologies. “With the NewsRight partnership, Moreover and BurrellesLuce bring one consolidated source of licensed content to the marketplace. Our Metabase Premium offering, to be renamed NewsRight, unites our core strengths – content aggregation, metabase enrichment, content delivery and usage tracking – with BurrellesLuce’s 27 years of proactive content licensing, acquisition and royalty fulfillment. It’s the best of both worlds for online content providers, corporate consumers and their clients.”

Under the agreement, Moreover will receive rights to the NewsRight name and brand. Customers will be offered new contracts for the services previously offered through NewsRight. The value of the agreement is not being disclosed.
