Twitch Named People’s Voice Winner in 17th Annual Webby Awards

Dedicated community champions Twitch as their favorite Games-Related website for second year in a row

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Twitch, the world’s leading video platform and community for gamers, announced today that it has been selected as the People’s Voice Winner in the Games-Related Website category of the 17th Annual Webby Awards. Hailed as the “Internet’s highest honor” by the New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, is the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet. This marks the second year in a row that Twitch has won this title as well as being the only two years it has been eligible to compete since its launch in June 2011.

Twitch was able to once again beat out leading gaming websites to take home the award, thanks to its dedicated global audience with the live streaming platform currently attracting more than 30 million unique visitors a month.
