BritWeek UKTI Business Innovation Awards 2013 Were Presented to Five Outstanding Companies Creating Business Ties between the UK and California

LOS ANGELES--()--Last night, Virgin Atlantic presented the fourth annual BritWeek UKTI Business Innovation Awards at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. The awards recognize innovative companies doing business in the United Kingdom and California across five categories: Design, Technology, Service Provision, Philanthropy, and Marketing & Communications. The 2013 award winners were: Arup North America Ltd. (Design), Aventyn (Service Provision), Calhoun Vision Inc. (Technology), Films Without Borders (Philanthropy), and Pusher LLC (Marketing & Communications).

Fox Los Angeles co-anchor Carlos Amezcua was the keynote speaker and joined this year’s panel of distinguished judges: creativity guru Sir Ken Robinson, Design Director, Jaguar Cars, Ian Callum, and Walt Disney International Chairman Andy Bird.

Runner-ups were Design – duncan quinn, Kathryn M. Ireland; Marketing & Communications – Somo Global, Walkers Shortbread; Philanthropy – Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, Silicon Valley Internship Program; Service Provision – Red Touch Media, Veritas Prep; Technology – Huddle, Tictrac.

The 7th Annual BritWeek 2013 returns to Los Angeles April 23rd to May 6th, celebrating all forms of creativity and innovation between Britain and California.
