Ubiquity Broadcasting Corporation Announces Its WEAV Video Intelligence Platform

Ubiquity’s Real-time video intelligence software transforms camera surveillance networks and mobile devices into intelligent and effective detection and alert systems, enabling real-time responses to events as they emerge live or for forensic analysis.

IRVINE, Calif.--()--Ubiquity Broadcasting Corporation, a privately-held Delaware corporation (“Ubiquity”)(OTCQB: UBIQ), has announced its plan to launch WEAV Intelligent Video Surveillance Software.

WEAV, Ubiquity’s proprietary video intelligence platform, open architecture, and artificial intelligence software is deployable in a variety of security, safety and business intelligence applications. “Our advanced artificial intelligent capabilities enable true leveraging of surveillance networks and mobile devices transforming WEAV into an intelligent tool that responds to the practical challenges of the 21st century,” said Nick Mitsakos Ubiquity Co-Chairman.

Ubiquity’s patent pending MOFF (Matched Orientation Field Filter) technology allows Ubiquity’s WEAV platform the versatility and robustness to filter through and analyze footage from a wide variety of video formats obtained from all types of cameras including low resolution surveillance cameras, traffic cameras, personal security cameras, mobile devices, vehicle cameras to detect objects, logos, weapons, and license plates.

“We see a large number of important applications for this technology in surveillance, multimedia and interactive TV,” stated Kristian Sandberg Ph.D, Ubiquity’s Chief Technology Officer.

Ubiquity has targeted two key areas in its initial rollout to fill an essential void in license plate detection and surveillance. Surveillance focuses on monitoring a vast infrastructure of cameras and mobile devices in a stated region or area for suspicious objects or license plates in an attempt to thwart unlawful activity or to detect threats to the community. License plate detection is also important for cities using cameras and camera networks to enforce fees and vehicles infractions.

Ubiquity has solved the problems generally associated with license plate detection. Ubiquity’s software can detect license plates accurately under a wide variety of conditions; low quality footage, low light, partially occluded license plates, plates obtained from mobile devices, and adverse weather conditions.

“Ubiquity’s Real-time video intelligence software transforms standard surveillance networks into intelligent and effective detection and early alert systems, enabling responses to events, as they emerge. By performing real-time analysis of the video stream, Ubiquity is able to identify and generate alerts for a variety of user-defined events relating to people, vehicles and objects. WEAV works effectively with any type of video input (including analog or IP) from devices such as cameras, mobile devices, encoders, and NVR’s, is effective in both indoor and outdoor environments, including those considered the most challenging (e.g. rain, fog, low light and nighttime), and low resolution utilizing our proprietary WEAV Compression,” said Artificial Intelligence expert Sengan Baring-Gould Ph.D, Ubiquity Research Scientist.

Following the release of our License Plate Identification application, Ubiquity’s next focus will be on other security applications, including object, logo, and gun detection. Ubiquity is also developing numerous other important applications for its object detection software including Intelligent TV applications.

Ubiquity’s patented and patent pending compression technology enable our software to intelligently discern objects of interest; distinguish between humans, vehicles, distinguishing marks and other objects; and continuously track positions for all moving and stationary targets within the video scene.

“The Boston Marathon bombing has proven the need for real time video and data analysis from all types of cameras, including user mobile devices, surveillance cameras, and network footage to cross-reference multiple angles and vantage points to collectively verify the license plate and/or object or person of interest,” said Chris Carmichael, Ubiquity’s Chief Executive Officer.
