Kennedy, M.D. of Kennedy-White Orthopedic Center in Sarasota as medical director of Orchid Medical’s Surgical Cost Containment Program (SCCP)®.
Launched in 2011, Orchid Medical’s SCCP program provides the workers’ compensation industry a cost-savings streamlined delivery system for medical implant devices with seamless coordination between the hospital, physician, vendor and payer prior to surgery.

SCCP helps curb over-utilization of implantable devices, and influences the cost of the medical device through direct contracts with the manufacturer. Orchid Medical and strategic partner Kennedy-White Orthopedic Center are committed to cost savings in surgical procedures in workers’ compensation.

Kennedy, who has over 30 years’ experience as a practicing orthopaedic surgeon, specializes in adult reconstructive joint surgery and is an innovator in the field of surgical implant device design. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
A graduate of Tulane Medical School, he performed his orthopedic residency at New York Orthopaedic Hospital − Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was a clinical instructor in orthopaedic surgery at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons.
