Metro US Unveils Fresh New Image

New website, new design and new creative advertising options

NEW YORK--()--Metro, the No. 1 free daily in the United States, unveiled its new image with the re-launch of its website, metro.us, as well as refreshed design of the print editions, which now include more premium advertising opportunities.

The new metro.us integrates Responsive Web Design, allowing a seamless user experience across all devices – smartphones, desktops and tablets. Improved features allow more customizable advertising opportunities, including advanced capabilities to handle rich media and interactive creative. The website was developed in partnership with 1/0 Technology Corp, a leading New York interactive development firm.

The refreshed print design allows more space for in-depth reportage and viewpoints so that readers can enjoy more news and entertainment during their morning commute. Metro stories now have more visual appeal: captivating headlines, big photographs and easy-to-read graphics. Metro is covering all the angles — from readers’ tweets to expert analysis — both locally and internationally. Metro is your hometown newspaper with a global reach — free of charge.

For advertisers, the design refresh includes new high impact advertising units such as a premium front cover unit, the “Super SkyBox,” and the Spadea, a foldout advertisement which are both available in New York and Philadelphia editions.
