HOBOKEN, N.J.--()--Litzky Public Relations (LPR), a full-service, boutique public relations firm based in Hoboken, New Jersey and specializing in toys and family entertainment, proudly celebrates its 25th year in business in 2013. In honor of the agency’s silver anniversary, LPR employees have made a yearlong commitment to perform 25 charitable acts in support of the Hoboken and northern New Jersey communities.
“Litzky Public Relations is one of the best kept secrets when it comes to boutique public relations agencies”
“I was raised in New Jersey and Hoboken is home not only to my agency but many of my employees,” said Michele Litzky, president and founder of LPR. “For this significant milestone, instead of solely celebrating our own success, I felt strongly about also celebrating the community that has helped Litzky Public Relations grow into the very accomplished and special agency it is today.”
Throughout 2013, Litzky will be joined by her 18 employees as they work together to complete 25 different community service projects, from food and clothing drives to mentoring and fundraising, in and around Hoboken. Pictures and updates on the agency’s activity will be posted to LPR’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/litzkypr) and Litzky’s blog, The View from My Window, which can be found on the agency’s website.
Dawn Zimmer, Mayor of Hoboken, will visit LPR today at 1 p.m. to present Litzky with a proclamation acknowledging the agency’s accomplishments and contributions to the City of Hoboken.
“With more than 20 years in Hoboken, Litzky Public Relations has become a prominent and influential business in our community,” said Zimmer. “Providing funding and volunteers for the Lose the Training Wheels bike camp, donating hundreds of toys to our local community and pitching in to help neighbors devastated by Hurricane Sandy, it is clear that Michele and her employees understand that charity begins at home. LPR is a wonderful example of a local business committed to bettering the Mile Square City.”
Established in Litzky’s one bedroom New York City apartment in 1988, the agency has experienced remarkable growth over the past 25 years and has become the go-to agency for product publicity in the children’s and family entertainment marketplace. Vice presidents Melissa Winston and Josslynne Welch, 14-year and 15-year LPR veterans respectively, have been key players in the growth of the agency.
Rounding out the LPR executive team, the pair has helped lead the charge over the years, mentoring a team of professionals that share their work ethic and attention to detail. With their guidance, the agency is looking ahead to the next 25 years.
“Litzky Public Relations is one of the best kept secrets when it comes to boutique public relations agencies,” said Wayne S. Charness, Hasbro’s Senior Vice President Corporate Communications. “They have worked for Hasbro for the past 15 years and they continue to impress with their dedication to our business and their broad expertise in brand publicity, social media and making news.”
In March, LPR employees will create a time capsule to be opened by employees on the agency’s 50th anniversary. The time capsule will outline the current cost of gas, milk and a movie ticket, and include a popular toy, the latest version of the iPhone, and the day’s newspaper headlines, among other items. The capsule will be opened on March 10, 2038.
