Nigel Daly Appointed to Board of BritWeek

Deputy Chairman of BAFTA-Los Angeles and Vice President of Screen International joins as BritWeek launches its first Miami program

LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BritWeek, the Los Angeles-based organization that delivers an annual program of events, announced that Nigel Daly had joined its Board. Daly, who has recently become Deputy Chairman of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts in Los Angeles, is also Vice President of Screen International. He has been an active supporter of BritWeek for several years.

BritWeek Chairman Bob Peirce welcomed Daly to the Board. “BritWeek is all about the profusion of creative links between Britain and the US,” said Peirce, “and Nigel is a profusion of creative links – a one man army of creative energy. He is an actor, director, producer, theater founder, painter and jazz singer, as well as a senior executive. He will bring a lot to our board and we are lucky to have him.”

The announcement of Daly’s appointment comes the same week that BritWeek will for the first time have a program outside California. “BritWeek Visits Miami” runs March 7^th - 14^th. BritWeek Los Angeles and Orange County will begin April 23^rd, and BritWeek San Francisco begins May 3rd.
