Company to Leverage Their Franchise Network to Raise Awareness, Create More Jobs for Youth Across the United States

EMERYVILLE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jamba Juice Company (NASDAQ: JMBA), a leading healthy, active lifestyle company, announced the company’s second National Hiring Day (NHD) initiative. Interviews will take place in 100 stores across the nation on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. In 2012, Jamba pledged to hire 2,500 summer youth and exceeded their pledge by nearly 300%, hiring close to 6,000 nationwide.

In an effort to expand this year’s commitment, Jamba has tapped the support of their franchise store owners to illustrate how small businesses can play a significant role in creating jobs through focused efforts and a collaborative commitment.

At a press conference scheduled for Monday, March 4, 2013, 10:00 a.m. PST, at the San Francisco Treasure Island Job Corps, James D. White, Jamba’s chairman, president and CEO, will formally announce 2013 National Hiring Day goals.
