Harris Corporation Recognized by Northrop Grumman for Supplier Excellence

MELBOURNE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has received a Northrop Grumman Information Systems Supplier Excellence Award. Harris was among 26 award recipients selected from among thousands of eligible suppliers to Northrop Grumman.

The award honors suppliers whose technical innovation and quality products and services have contributed significantly to the success of Northrop Grumman and its customers. Nomination for the award requires that the program customer attests that the supplier meets the highest criteria for schedule management, performance and responsiveness, technical performance, financial performance, mission assurance, and customer satisfaction.

Harris was recognized for its work on the Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) program. Under the IBCS program, Harris provides systems engineering support to the Northrop Grumman team in Huntsville, Alabama. Harris’ program support includes incorporating its Highband Networking Radio as the backbone communications product for the Integrated Fire Control Network – an integral part of the IBCS.
