BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LearnLaunchX today opened applications to its first ed tech accelerator cohort, which will host up to eight early stage companies for an intensive three-month immersive program in Boston starting on June 10, 2013. Companies will be chosen for their solutions’ potential to make education more accessible and effective for preK-20 student populations, lifelong learners, corporate training programs and the education professionals and administrators who reach, instruct and inspire them. LearnLaunchX will evaluate companies based on their originality, management team experience, potential for growth, and impact on the learning community. Successful applicants will share the LearnLaunchX team’s drive to create transformative solutions that address both the challenges in education and the emerging market opportunities.
College affordability, college completion, and K-12 college and career readiness concerns are increasingly driving universities, schools and individual educators to seek transformative solutions that can increase student learning and engagement. “With the new urgency added by performance and regulatory mandates, early-stage entrepreneurs can’t afford to waste time.
