GURGAON, India--()--Axiom, a 1,000 person new model firm that helps large multi-national firms manage legal work more effectively, today formally announced the opening of its Centre of Excellence in Gurgaon, India. As with Axiom’s other centres, including the newly expanded Belfast centre, Gurgaon will house legal professionals serving global companies.

The centre, which currently occupies 5,500 square feet, has the capacity to house 50 employees. Axiom plans to hire a number of additional professional staff by the end of the year bringing the new space to capacity at that time. Further growth in terms of new hires and a new space, which will triple capacity, is expected into 2014.
The firm’s expansion into India has been fueled, in large part, by Axiom’s Managed Services business, which provides large, complex outsourcing arrangements for global FTSE/Fortune 100 clients. Managed Services is a nascent but thriving business that has seen unprecedented growth since its formal introduction in 2010.
