FRANKFURT, Germany--()--When Ambiente opens its doors in Frankfurt from February 15 to 19, 2013, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will be taking part with two combined stands in Halls 12.0 and 10.4, where 45 Hong Kong companies (2012: 56) will be presenting their products.
Eleven companies will be showcasing gift and decoration articles in the “Giving” area in the new Hall 12.0. The broad product range includes playful decoration ideas as being presented by Antwerp Plastic Merchandising (HK) Ltd (B35B) and Fortune Union Enterprise Ltd. (B35D) and gift articles for many occasions offered by Family Gifts Group Limited (C34E) and Sun Star Enterprises Co. (C34D) among others.
34 companies will be exhibiting household goods and kitchenware on a joint stand in Hall 10.4. Lico (HK) Manufacturing Ltd (D48B) won the 2013 Design Plus Award for its “Pop Pan” designed by Mario John Chaves Barker (on display in the Galleria between Hall 8/9). The baking moulds of the company’s “pop-out” series combine silicon with metal and make perfect use of the advantages of both materials.
The further range extends from products for baby requirements including multifunctional air cleaners from Babybelle Asia Ltd. (C49A) to the latest developments from Konstar Industries Ltd. (C49D), a manufacturer of popular kitchen aids and Sunnex Products Limited (C49C) which specializes in hotel and catering requirements.
Tack Unitrade Corporation Ltd. (C49B) and Koonex Group (HK) Co. Ltd. (E42C) present high quality pans and cutlery. Winwards International Ltd. (D48A) is exhibiting kitchen aids such as bamboo blocks which serve as holders for kitchen utensils. King Fai Industrial (HK) Co. Ltd. (E42F) manufactures kitchen containers made of dishwasher-safe silicon.
Hong Kong’s exports of gifts and decoration articles, as well as household goods, continued to grow in 2012. Gifts and decoration articles achieved a sales volume of USD 24 billion (+ 5.6 per cent). Hong Kong imported goods to a total value of USD 27.6 billion (+ 8.9 per cent).
Exports of household goods were up by 2.5 per cent in 2012 (USD 28.4 billion). Exports to the EU rose during 2012 by 0.3 per cent to USD 4.5 billion. Imports of household goods into Hong Kong grew by a total of 15.6 per cent (USD 41 billion).
