JMP Group Announces Addition of Rick Hanley as Director of Corporate Access

Managing Director Joins the Firm’s Institutional Sales and Trading Group

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JMP Group Inc. (NYSE: JMP), an investment banking and alternative asset management firm, announced today that Richard M. Hanley has joined JMP Securities as a managing director and its director of corporate access. Mr. Hanley, who is based in the firm’s New York office, will oversee JMP Securities’ efforts to provide its institutional brokerage clients with increased contact with senior executives of notable public and private companies.

Prior to joining JMP Securities, Mr. Hanley founded and operated Hanley & Associates for seven years, offering corporate access advisory services and technology solutions to sell-side and buy-side institutions as well as publicly traded companies. He was previously a managing director at Deutsche Bank, where he served as head of corporate access and earlier as head of institutional middle market sales. Beforehand, Mr. Hanley was a senior vice president at Prudential Securities, working as director of consumer, energy and finance research and as an institutional equity salesperson during his nine-year tenure. He spent two years as a vice president and equity research analyst at McDonald & Company Securities and began his career as an investment analyst at National City Bank. Mr. Hanley holds an MBA from Indiana University and a BBA from University of Toledo.
