ExxonMobil and NASCAR® Announce Extension of Mobil 1™ as the “Official Motor Oil of NASCAR”

Expanding partnership into the digital space, ExxonMobil and NASCAR will launch a new content platform that explores NASCAR’s world-class automotive technology

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--()--ExxonMobil and NASCAR® today announced a multi-year partnership extension, making Mobil 1™ the “Official Motor Oil of NASCAR” and “Official Lubricant Technology Partner of NASCAR” through 2017. The 2013 NASCAR season will mark the 11th consecutive season in which the Mobil 1 brand is an official partner of NASCAR, the premier motorsports series in the United States.

Taking the technology partnership into the digital space for the first time, ExxonMobil and NASCAR will launch a new branded content platform that explores NASCAR’s world-class automotive technology via the ”NASCAR Automotive Technology Center Engineered by Mobil 1” online site housed on the newly launched NASCAR.com. The comprehensive platform will deliver automotive technology-related information through original feature stories, photos, videos, a glossary of automotive and racing terms, plus social elements including fan polls and more. Full details on the project are set to be unveiled at a future date.
