PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Janney Capital Markets today announced Gregory C. Voetsch has joined the firm as Head of Equities. Bringing more than 25 years of experience and leadership to the firm, Voetsch will lead Janney’s equity sales, sales trading, trading, and research groups.

With the hiring of Voetsch, Thomas Ferraro and Jeff Woodford, who served in the roles of co-head of equities, will assume leadership as Heads of Sales and Sales Trading/Trading, respectively.

Voetsch is well known in the industry for his leadership and expertise. Before joining Janney, he was with Knight Capital Group for ten years, serving most recently as Executive Vice President and Head of Global Equities. Prior to his association with Knight, Voetsch held roles as a sales trader, trader and manager at Smith Barney, and also spent 10 years at Jefferies.
At Janney, Voetsch will split his time between the Philadelphia and New York offices.
