Peterson Sullivan LLP Announces Acquisition of Davenny & Associates PS

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Peterson Sullivan LLP, one of the top ten accounting firms in the Puget Sound, announced that it is expanding its Seattle presence with the addition of Davenny & Associates PS. The combination is scheduled to close January 1, 2013.

Davenny & Associates was established in 1992 by Robert A. Davenny, Jr. Mr. Davenny began his career at Ernst & Young, and was the tax partner in charge of their entrepreneurial service group. Davenny & Associates specializes in providing tax preparation and consulting and business advisory services to real estate, elder care facilities, and closely-held businesses and their owners, and to high wealth individuals. Peterson Sullivan will have more than 100 employees in its offices in downtown Seattle.

This is another in a series of acquisitions in the last two years. The Seattle office of Anderson ZurMuehlen & Co. P.C. was acquired in 2010. That successful merger inspired the firm to continue its growth strategy by looking for similar opportunities.
