Flatiron’s Jeff Turner Elected 2013 AGC San Diego President

SAN MARCOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jeff Turner, Flatiron vice president and San Marcos district manager, was elected the 68th President of the Associated General Contractors of America, San Diego Chapter by the AGC Board of Directors on December 13. As president, Jeff will provide leadership and direction to the AGC throughout 2013. Jeff and other AGC 2013 Board members will be installed at the association’s Annual Installation Dinner on January 24.

Jeff has been an active AGC member in recent years. In 2012, Jeff served as the AGC Government Relations and Infrastructure PAC chair. The PAC raised a record amount during 2012. In 2011 he was the AGC Vice President and served as AGC Membership Committee chair. Jeff was AGC treasurer in 2010, and also headed the AGC Plan Room Committee. He served on the AGC Caltrans Liaison Committee for a number of years, and was committee chair in 2007, 2008, 2009, and part of 2012. He also served on the AGC Labor Committee and has been involved in craft labor negotiations.

Jeff has been with Flatiron for more than eight years and has more than 30 years of construction experience. His construction career began in 1980 as a craft worker for Daley Corporation. He graduated from San Diego State University in 1987 with a B.S. in Business Management. After graduation, he worked for USAir and then held project management positions with Daley and W.R. Connelly before joining Flatiron as an area manager in 2004. He was promoted to vice president and district manager in 2008, and now oversees all operations in the San Diego area.
