Auxilion Wins €5m Global IT Managed Service and Cloud Transformation Deal for Mainstream Renewable Power

- Pioneers virtual support agent model with Microsoft cloud technology

DUBLIN--()--Mainstream Renewable Power, the global wind and solar energy company, is partnering with Irish headquartered Auxilion to move the company’s IT support service and infrastructure management to the cloud. Under the deal, worth €5m over five years, Auxilion’s Virtual Service Desk solution provides a 24x7 IT support service to all Mainstream employees and affiliates across five continents.

“We are experiencing exponential growth and realised that traditional on-premise, localised and multi-vendor approaches to IT support simply aren’t scalable,” commented John Shaw, CIO at Mainstream. “With end-to-end global IT support services from one partner, our Information Services team focus on priority IT improvement projects, safe in the knowledge our employees and affiliates are well supported at all times.”

“Our IT support agents, powered by Microsoft cloud technology, can support any end user anywhere in the world with on-demand telephone, email and web-based self-service support options for Mainstream end users, anytime and anywhere,” commented Eleanor Graham, COO at Auxilion (www.auxilion.com).

Auxilion is also moving Mainstream’s on-premise IT infrastructure to the cloud, implementing Microsoft cloud applications including Office 365, SharePoint Online, Dynamics CRM Online and Microsoft Azure and thereafter supporting this cloud-based technology through the Auxilion Virtual Service Desk.

Martin Cullen, Director SMS&P Microsoft Ireland commented, “We’re delighted to be working alongside our partner Auxilion with Mainstream to help deliver the full benefits of Microsoft’s Cloud Services.”

“We have provided Mainstream with a 5 year cloud adoption roadmap to move their on-premise IT services to the cloud, whilst maximising existing IT assets,” commented Graham Quinn, CTO at Auxilion.

“Moving to the cloud enhances the ability of our staff to work anywhere at any time using any Internet enabled device. The added advantage is that we don’t have to make big investments in IT infrastructure,” added John Shaw, CIO at Mainstream.

“We selected Auxilion as our cloud journey partner because of their extensive cloud and Microsoft expertise, in particular Microsoft Azure, combined with their ability to deliver a global 24x7 managed IT support service.”
