BKi Acquires Geltz Communications

Geltz Communications Founder Christine Geltz Named BKi Director of Marketing Communications

OAKLAND, Calif.--()--BKi (www.bki.com), a leader in moving energy and environmental innovations into practical use, announced today that it has acquired Geltz Communications, Inc., a Pasadena, California-based marketing communications firm specializing in energy efficiency and sustainability. Geltz founder and president Christine Geltz has been named BKi’s director of marketing communications.

Spanning more than 22 years, Ms. Geltz’s energy services career features high-profile experience in strategic marketing planning, integrated marketing and community outreach, creative oversight, new media integration, and behavioral program launches.

Ms. Geltz has developed and implemented award-winning initiatives and strategies for investor-owned and municipal utilities throughout the western states and New York. Her firm has also provided customer recruitment, marketing, and implementation support to the nation’s leading energy technology providers and consulting firms.

Ms. Geltz served as chair of the communications task force of the Association of Energy Services Professionals, and later served on AESP’s board of directors and won its B.H. Prasad Award for Outstanding Contributions.

Ms. Geltz graduated with a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in education and French from Concordia University, Chicago, and a master’s degree magna cum laude in communications and public relations from California State University, Fullerton.
