WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Barry J. Fisher Insurance Marketing, Inc. (BJFIM), a nationally recognized leader in long-term care insurance brokerage, has announced plans to merge with the Borden Hamman Agency (BHA), a trailblazing life insurance and annuity marketing organization, based in Dallas, Texas. The union of these two firms signifies a milestone in expanding the distribution of traditional and linked long-term care insurance products through independent life and health insurance agents and financial advisors.
BJFIM principals Barry Fisher and Susan Blais believe that this merger is a fitting end to a record setting sales year for the agency. “Agent and advisor education, training and service have been the keys to BJFIM success for the past 17 years. Supplementing our existing operations with the technology and process advantages BHA brings to the relationship will allow us to expand our business in California, Texas and to other selected areas of the country.”
Christi Daughenbaugh, President and COO of BHA, says, “We are excited about the merger with BJFIM and the explosive impact we believe adding their long-term care insurance expertise to our organization will bring for all of the agents and advisors we will be working with. Long-term care insurance has been an important component of our business, and this significantly anchors our ongoing commitment to the importance of helping Americans plan for how to manage the long-term care financial risk.”
The effective date of the merger is February 1, 2013. The entire BJFIM Team will continue to be part of the organization and Barry Fisher and Susan Blais will remain as active managers of all national long-term care insurance marketing efforts for the new agency called Barry J. Fisher Insurance Marketing – A Borden Hamman Company.
