LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--October marked Breast Cancer Awareness month, once again raising awareness and funds for a cause that affects millions of women worldwide. Recognizing this wonderful cause, Total Woman Gym and Day Spa took it upon themselves to join in the fight against Breast Cancer.
For the entire month, Total Woman partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation. As women entered the gym, enrolled in the gym, or were pampered at the spa, everyone was given an opportunity to donate to a cause that really hits home for many women. Throughout the month of October, the members at 13 Southern California Total Woman locations raised $8,000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. With that money, the foundation could pay for over 30 women’s mammograms, they could donate generously to cancer research, or they could greatly alleviate the cost of one woman’s cancer treatments.
In November, when Total Woman’s corporate office heard of the generosity and compassion of their members, they knew they had to get involved. In the spirit of giving and of the cause, the corporate office made a decision to donate $5,000 themselves to the NBCF as well.
All together, Total Woman Gym and Day Spa has sent a $13,000 check to the National Breast Cancer Foundation this month. The great success of this one-month push has inspired the gym to make this a yearly donation event. Every October all locations of the gym will celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the fight against the disease, women’s empowerment, and the spirit of giving.
