SCRA Applied R&D Contracts with US Coast Guard for Interagency Operations Centers

Applies Knowledge and Information for Decision Making, Securing Ports

CHARLESTON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SCRA Applied R&D was recently awarded a three year, $3 million Blanket Purchase Agreement with the United States Coast Guard (USCG) to support system lifecycle operations, sustainment of and enhancements to the existing system and maintenance tasks for the Interagency Operations Center “WatchKeeper System.” The program, a component of the USCG’s Interagency Operations Center/Command 21 project, provides a set of software applications that assist users in making informed command and control decisions.

Since the inception of the WatchKeeper program, following successful implementation of Project Seahawk for port security in Charleston, SCRA Applied R&D has performed planning, management, analysis, software development, testing, integration support, training support and documentation development in support of this USCG mission.

The Interagency Operations Center/ Command 21 project is a major USCG acquisition that is transforming Sector Command Centers into Interagency Operations Centers by improving facilities, information management and sensor capabilities into an action oriented, proactive security environment. This project will satisfy the mandates of the Security and Accountability for Every (SAFE) Port Act of 2006.
