CHARLESTON, S.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SCRA Applied R&D was recently awarded a three year, $3 million Blanket Purchase Agreement with the United States Coast Guard (USCG) to support system lifecycle operations, sustainment of and enhancements to the existing system and maintenance tasks for the Interagency Operations Center “WatchKeeper System.” The program, a component of the USCG’s Interagency Operations Center/Command 21 project, provides a set of software applications that assist users in making informed command and control decisions.
Since the inception of the WatchKeeper program, following successful implementation of Project Seahawk for port security in Charleston, SCRA Applied R&D has performed planning, management, analysis, software development, testing, integration support, training support and documentation development in support of this USCG mission.
“The US Coast Guard has committed to delivering and supporting state-of-the-art market platforms and systems that are affordable, efficient and mission-capable,” said SCRA Applied R&D President Chris Van Metre. “SCRA Applied R&D offers domain expertise and capabilities that support these efforts to improve our ports and security. The continued confidence the USCG has placed in SCRA Applied R&D is a credit to the team and the excellent value our associates have delivered.”
“SCRA programs have an extensive track record of developing and applying technology solutions for real world results,” said SCRA CEO Bill Mahoney. “We are delighted to continue providing solutions to the US Coast Guard and we look forward to supporting and enhancing other Interagency Operations.”
