IHS and SAE International to Enable Semantic Access to Premium Automotive and Aerospace Engineering Content

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--IHS (NYSE: IHS), the leading global source of information and analytics, and SAE International, today announced a new agreement that leverages IHS Goldfire’s leading semantic technology to unlock the technical research and applied engineering advancements contained in SAE International’s aerospace, automotive and commercial vehicle technical papers (1988-present).

Under the agreement, IHS Goldfire will enable engineers, researchers and other innovation practitioners to semantically access full-text indexed SAE Technical Papers.

Using IHS Goldfire's state-of-the-art semantic question answering technology, subscribers to the SAE Digital Library can better find, access and leverage the rich content within SAE Technical Papers. Results are categorized and presented in a form that efficiently reveals the information that is essential to making informed decisions about product and process designs.
