PASADENA, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kuraray America, Inc. announced today it is donating $1,000 to assist in Hurricane Sandy relief efforts through the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of New York. The Chamber contributed $250,000 to the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City as well as an additional $250,000 to AmeriCares in order to provide support for the New Jersey and Long Island areas that have been affected.
Kuraray America, Inc. employs approximately 20 people in their Manhattan office, with many employees impacted directly by Hurricane Sandy.
