BRS Labs Expands Senior Staff to Meet Growth

Cutting-edge behavioral recognition security and safety vendor adds four industry veterans to meet rapidly growing demand

HOUSTON--()--Behavioral Recognition Systems, Inc. (BRS Labs), creator of AISight®, the first artificial intelligence system for enhanced video surveillance that delivers real-time alerts for suspicious activity, today announced the addition of four new members to the company’s leadership team to meet rising customer demand.

The new hires announced today bring more than a century of combined industry experience, a vital factor in meeting rapidly growing demand for BRS Labs’ technology. The group includes:

Rich Smith – Vice President of Federal Government Business Development, will direct ongoing development of products, services and sales efforts for the federal marketplace. Rich brings more than 25 years’ experience guiding and growing public sector sales for emerging technologies. He has served as Vice President of Sales at VistaScape (now part of Siemens), and Vice President of Federal Operations at Internet Security Systems (acquired by IBM).

Mike Austin – Vice President for Critical Infrastructure and Homeland Security, will drive sales, service and support efforts for these two vital markets. He is a 30-year veteran of the security industry including 15 years at Lenel Systems International, where he rose to Director of US Government Sales.

Rob Clouse – Director of Sales, will manage BRS Labs’ explosive growth in markets including transportation, ports, nuclear power facilities and utilities. Rob has more than two decades of technology sales experience, and comes to BRS Labs from Steelbox Networks, where he helped build some of the world’s largest video surveillance network implementations.

Gary Thomas – Western Director of Sales has deep experience across a wide spectrum of the video analytics and HD video surveillance industry. In his previous roles at Agent VI, Vidient, VistaScape and Avigilon, he was instrumental in building technology awareness and sales success for the rapidly growing intelligent video market.
