EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--()--Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes today announced details of their documentary series, “Backstage: Galaxy” and “Galaxy Confidencial,” original programs that give LA Galaxy supporters access to their team like never before. The networks will give fans a behind-the-scenes look into the team’s playoff run as it looks to repeat as the MLS Cup Champion. “Backstage: Galaxy” and “Galaxy Confidencial” are presented in manners distinct to their viewers and deliver a level of access and coverage that is a first for any Major League Soccer team.
“Backstage: Galaxy” premieres tonight at 5:00 p.m. PST on Time Warner Cable SportsNet. The series will feature behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive interviews with the team’s stars in addition to coverage of the Galaxy’s playoff games. Tonight’s episode includes a review of the 2012 regular season, highlights from the Galaxy’s come-from-behind victory over Vancouver in the knockout round, behind-the-scenes coverage of the team’s trip to San Jose for the first playoff game and a look at upcoming postseason matchups.
“Galaxy Confidencial” debuts on Time Warner Cable Deportes on Thursday, November 22 at 6:00 p.m. PST. Narrated in full by Time Warner Cable Deportes special correspondent Enrique Gutierrez, the series captures exclusive team and individual moments and experiences on and off the field and is presented in a unique, story-telling style.
“Backstage: Galaxy” and “Galaxy Confidencial” will air for the duration of the LA Galaxy’s playoff run, with a minimum of three 30-minute episodes that take fans on the road, behind the scenes and into the locker room with the team. The series will also air during the 2013 MLS season.
The “Backstage” and “Confidencial” franchises debuted in early October with the premiere of “Backstage: Lakers” on Time Warner Cable SportsNet and “Lakers Confidencial” on Time Warner Cable Deportes. These weekly signature series give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the Los Angeles Lakers. “Backstage: Lakers” airs a new episode every Wednesday and “Lakers Confidencial” debuts on Fridays.
