Culbert Healthcare Solutions Quadruples Growth over Five Years

Healthcare consulting firm receives Inc. 5000 ranking for third consecutive year

WOBURN, Mass.--()--Culbert Healthcare Solutions, a leading provider of management and information technology consulting services to healthcare organizations, today announced the company has expanded its customer base to include more than 150 organizations across the United States. This growth is underscored as the firm was named to the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest growing privately-held companies in the United States for the third consecutive year, ranking 159th on the healthcare industry list.

Much of the company’s growth over the past five years is a direct result of expanding its service offerings to help its clients address strategic issues. The company has continued to grow its IT practice, and its diversification into healthcare strategy, interim leadership and revenue cycle management services has positioned Culbert as a full service healthcare consulting firm better able to support its clients’ expanding needs. This expansion is due in large part to the changing nature of the healthcare industry, with increased regulation, new care delivery and reimbursement models and a rise in clinical integration and alignment.

“Throughout our three year partnership with Culbert, the firm provided interim CIO and supplemental IT director services. Additionally, we benefited from EHR subject matter expertise and experienced Culbert consultants who leveraged our ability to enhance physician adoption and to improve the overall use of our electronic health records system,” said Paul Peck, chief information officer at Northeast Health System. “Culbert was with us each step of the way as we worked to establish our physician practice support team and to streamline the process for fusing information technology with operational processes. We look forward to continuing our relationship with Culbert as we address the challenge of providing effective change management to our healthcare delivery system.”

Over the course of its six year history, Culbert has established a core competency in electronic health records, helping clients implement and improve use of Allscripts, Epic and GE systems. With a focus on client longevity, the company has maintained steady partnerships across its customer base of hospital and academic medical center board members, including American Medical Group Association (AMGA) members and Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) members. Additionally, Culbert’s staff has almost tripled over the past five years and the firm recently added to its management team in order to support the continued expansion of its IT, revenue cycle, interim management and strategic services consulting practices.

“As care models continue to evolve, healthcare organizations need a partner to provide expert counsel for adapting to the changes, which is certainly a key component to our success,” said Rob Culbert, president and CEO, Culbert Healthcare Solutions. “We consider our recent growth a testament to our ability to strengthen our staff and services even during an economic downturn, and we aim to maintain this level of industry expertise as we continue helping our customers overcome operational and technological challenges.”
