Fotopedia Introduces “AdStories”, a New Ad Format Designed for the iPad

Beautiful visual format makes ads “part of the show” for exceptional engagement

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fotopedia, the publisher of popular iOS apps, today announced a brand new advertising format, called AdStories, designed specifically for the iPad.

“With an audience of 15 million people worldwide, we have seen strong interest from advertisers. They love the ability to reach their target audiences on the iPad, with precise targeting via exclusive, beautiful and relevant ad campaigns”

AdStories are an invitation to discover or explore products, services and experiences that match your personal interests. Their unique new format is similar to a stunningly beautiful slideshow that ends with a call to discovery. Easily shareable and re-shareable, AdStories are the ultimate branded content.

Brands and advertisers can now reach an audience of 15M people anywhere in the world, with this extremely engaging format on the iPad, while focusing on their specific targets by geography, language, and interest.

AdStories can be about any topic, project or even a person. In the world of travel, AdStories can present a destination, a hotel, or a particular trip. The first applications of this format showcase spectacular adventures offered by prominent adventure travel companies GeoEx, Mountain Travel Sobek and Tirawa in exciting destinations such as Botswana, Bhutan, Italy’s Dolomites, The Galapagos, or Tibet.

At the end of the AdStories, you are presented with a “call to discovery”. In the case of adventure travel, clicking on the call to discovery generates an email request for more information, ready to be sent to the advertiser with just one tap of a button. This happens inside the app without having to switch to an email app or browser. Then you can simply resume your exploration.

“With an audience of 15 million people worldwide, we have seen strong interest from advertisers. They love the ability to reach their target audiences on the iPad, with precise targeting via exclusive, beautiful and relevant ad campaigns,” said Jean-Marie Hullot, CEO of Fotopedia. “With AdStories, we are taking the next step to help people discover the beauty of our world. Our partners can now present their services in a way that is extremely attractive on the iPad; the result is quite spectacular. I am pleased that advertising in our apps is so beautiful that it has become a part of the show.”
