Urgent Care Association of America Names Joanne Ray as Chief Executive Officer

NAPERVILLE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--P. Joanne Ray has joined the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA) as chief executive officer. In her new role, Ray will manage all aspects of UCAOA’s operations, lead the headquarters staff and assume responsibility for meeting the operational and strategic goals set by the organizations’ leadership.

Ray, a graduate of Valparaiso University, brings almost 30 years of experience in association and nonprofit management and fund development. Her preceding leadership positions include senior roles within American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Emergency Nurse’s Association, American Veterinary Medical Foundation and most recently as the Executive Director of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR), a 3,000 member multi-disciplinary medical association. Each of these organizations experienced exceptional growth and enhanced member support and engagement as a result of her leadership.

Prior to her work with AACVPR, Ray served as a senior consultant with Campbell & Company, a national philanthropic consulting firm. As a lead consultant, she worked on projects ranging from strategic planning and case building to program evaluation and establishing development programs to philanthropic market studies. In this capacity, she also served as interim executive director for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
