MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Granite City Food & Brewery Ltd. (NASDAQ: GCFB), a casual dining restaurant group is continuing to grow with the announcement that it is building a new Granite City Food & Brewery in Lyndhurst, Ohio at the Legacy Village lifestyle center. The Company recently signed a long term lease with Legacy Village Investors, LLC. and expects the new restaurant to open in 2013.
Legacy Village is an upscale shopping, dining and entertainment complex located east of Cleveland in Lyndhurst, Ohio. The outdoor mall which opened in 2003 combines a variety of interesting restaurants with popular home furnishing, clothing and housewares retailers. The result is aesthetically pleasing and fun for guests of the complex. The development is the only regional shopping destination that has over 100 events a year including bands every Friday night in the summer, art festivals and the Taste of Legacy which attracts thousands of visitors a year. The new restaurant, expected to be the 30th restaurant in the Granite City chain, will feature a contemporary upscale design that was recently developed by the company and was unveiled in the Troy area in May 2012. The Company expects to open the new restaurant at Legacy in the summer of 2013 following the openings of Granite City restaurants in Franklin, TN and Indianapolis, IN. The restaurant’s newly designed interior will feature a wrap-around bar which flows into an atrium, an exposed kitchen and a central wood-fired pizza oven.
“We are excited to continue to expand our concept of an upscale dining experience and great service with reasonably-priced, high quality food and beverages to Ohio,” said Rob Doran, CEO. “This new Granite City restaurant will complement our presence in the state where we have an existing location in Maumee, Ohio. We have shown great success in that location and we feel confident that the folks in Cleveland will enjoy our affordable and enjoyable customer experience, along with our hand-crafted brews.”
