HKTDC: Solutions from one source – Hong Kong combined stand celebrates its premiere at Fakuma

FRANKFURT AM MAIN, Germany--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Plastics technologies ranging all the way from injection moulding, through extrusion systems to thermoforming will take centre stage when the Fakuma – the international trade fair for plastics processing – opens its doors in Friedrichshafen from October 16 to 20. This year will see the premiere of a combined stand with six companies (Hall A6, Stand A6-6225) organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC).

The company Hongrita Mold Ltd. (A6-6120-1) specialises in precisions moulds and plastic products for a wide range of industries like automobile, electronics and medical systems. Hongrita Mold Ltd. offers its customers one-source solutions that extend from mould design and construction, through injection moulding and die casting to the sub-assembly of parts.

Injection moulds for metal and plastics form part of the range of Hoyu Digital Tooling (HK) Ltd. (A6-6120-4). The company also manufactures prototypes. Luxform Rapid Prototyping Co., Ltd. (A6-6120-2) specializes in the production of prototypes and the construction of samples. The company provides rapid prototyping among other things using selective laser sintering (SLS), stereolithography and RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanization) moulding. The company can produce prototypes in batch sizes from a few pieces to several thousand.

Stack moulds as well as double injection moulds, gas-assist moulds and die casting moulds are being exhibited in Friedrichshafen by Lap Chi Moulding Co., Ltd (A6-6120-5). The company produces up to 2,500 mould sets per year. The individual moulds can have a weight of up to 16 tonnes. The company’s customers include manufacturers of automobile parts and toys.

Continuous Growth

In the first eight months of 2012 Hong Kong recorded growth for its export business with injection moulds and compression moulds for rubber/plastics of 15.3 percent to USD 327 million. Imports in this segment rose during the same period by 9.6 percent to USD 269 million.
