SPRING BROOK TOWNSHIP, Pa.--()--The B-Dry® Owner’s Association, a group of licensed basement waterproofing contractors, has announced the launch of the B-Dry® Wet Basement Analyzer. The free diagnostic tool, available on the Association’s website, enables consumers to identify the actual problem and make informed decisions about potential repair solutions. The web-based tool is available at B-Dry.com, requires no special software or file download, offers simple navigation and can be used on a computer or mobile device.
The tool guides users through series of prompts that help them describe and solve their problem. The first step identifies whether a basement is finished or unfinished. Various preventative measures, such as gutters, downspouts, and dehumidifiers, are outlined to provide a solution or offer advice to keep basements clean and dry.
The Association also offers the B-Dry® Basement Drainage System that provides basement waterproofing by controlling moisture and drainage problems in wet basements, foundations, and crawl spaces. B-Dry® Licensees install the system below the concrete floor to alleviate immediate problems and prevent future leakage. During installation, technicians can repair cracks in walls, reinforce bulged or bowing walls, and replace faulty drains where leaks can occur. The system was awarded a U.S. government patent in 1986 and has been installed in over 300,000 homes nationwide over the last 50 years.
Bob Clarke of the B-Dry® Owner’s Association explains, “If the water has pushed through ten inches of a wall already, a thin coat of paint isn’t going to stop it. As the pressure from the source of the water continues to build, the moisture will find a way in. Our drainage system is a proven and warranted solution to eliminate the water leaks, while the online Wet Basement Analyzer will help customers determine if this or other products can alleviate the problem.”
For wall seepage, the online tool can also recommend B-Dry® Rigid Sealer®, which provides a barrier between wet basement walls and wall panels, insulation, or other building materials. It is fabricated from a durable plastic polymer and prevents leaks in basement walls with structural damage, a risk factor for further damage to the home and its furnishings.
Consumers can log on to the company website for self-help advice or contact a local dealer in 24 states. Over 45 authorized basement waterproofing businesses in the U.S. have completed the intensive training program required for proper installation.
