SAN ANGELO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hirschfeld Industries has announced the retirement of W. H. Reeves, President of the bridge fabrication division, after 43 years of management roles within the company.
Over the past 15 years as president, Reeves oversaw all bridge activities for Hirschfeld facilities in North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama and Texas. With many years of experience in structural steel, he worked alongside other Hirschfeld senior officers in efforts to help the company create the highest quality product in the steel fabrication industry.

Reeves began his career with Hirschfeld Industries in 1969 working in the drafting room. He served in many roles during his time with the company, working as project manager, production coordinator, manager, director, vice president of operations and division, president of fabricated steel, before becoming president of the bridge division. Reeves graduated with a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State, and has a masters in business administration from the University of North Carolina Greensboro.
Following Reeves’ retirement on Sept. 30, 2012, John O’Quinn will serve as the new president of the bridge fabrication division for Hirschfeld Industries. Reeves departs to spend quality time with his family and enjoy lifelong hobbies including utilizing his skills as a Master Scuba Diver.
