AIR ID® Becomes Part of the pcProx® Family

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RF IDeas, Inc., a leading provider of desktop proximity and contactless smart card reader solutions, today announced that it will combine its two existing product brands, pcProx® and AIR ID®, into a single brand – pcProx. There will be no change to the existing functionalities or features of AIR ID branded card readers, other than the brand name being absorbed into the pcProx brand name. Effective immediately, pcProx will come in three product categories: pcProx 125 kHz, pcProx 13.56 MHz, and pcProx Plus, which is a combination of both frequencies.

Throughout the company’s existence, numerous card readers have been introduced under the pcProx brand and AIR ID brand, where the key differentiator amongst the two brands was the frequency compatibility. The bringing together of these two brands is intended to create a streamlined product offering and to simplify the ordering process for our customers.
