DR Systems Announces Issuance of U.S. Patent for Automatic Retrieval of Medical Data

‘Auto Pull’ Patent Automates Selection and Transfer of Medical Data Based on User-Filtered Criteria

SAN DIEGO--()--DR Systems, the leading independent provider of enterprise-wide medical imaging and information systems, announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has issued to the company a new patent, relating to a system and method for transmitting medical data.

US Patent No. 7,970,625 describes an “Auto Pull” retrieval of medical data. In one embodiment, a computer system receives filter criteria from a user of a first computer. Furthermore, the computer system may receive schedule information defining a schedule for checking for medical data. Depending on the embodiment, either the computer system or a remote server periodically selects, based upon the received schedule, medical data satisfying the received user-specific rules. The selected medical data is then transmitted to the computer system.
