Post University Named Military-Friendly School by G.I. Jobs Magazine for Third Consecutive Year

WATERBURY, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--G.I. Jobs, the premier magazine for military personnel transitioning into civilian life, has awarded Post University the distinction of Military Friendly School for the third year in a row. This recognition places Post University in the top 15 percent of all higher education institutions in the United States based on its prioritization and support of military service members and veterans.

Post University has been a pioneer in serving military personnel since 1976 and currently has a military enrollment of more than 3,200 students, including Active Duty, Veterans and Military Dependents. Now in its fourth year, the 2013 list of Military Friendly Schools was compiled through extensive research and a data driven survey of more than 12,000 schools nationwide. Methodology, criteria and weighting for the list were developed with the assistance of an Academic Advisory Board (AAB) consisting of educators from schools across the country.

Post University also was included in Military Advanced Education's Annual Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities list in 2010, 2011, and 2012; and the Military Times EDGE “Best for Vets” 2010 and 2011 editions.
