SANTA CLARA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BackWeb Technologies Ltd. (OTC Pink: BWEBF) announced today that it has settled its patent infringement litigation against HP. BackWeb filed suit in September 2010 alleging patent infringement. Under the settlement, all claims have been resolved, and BackWeb’s patents are now licensed to HP. The settlement concludes BackWeb’s last active patent infringement lawsuit.
Future Direction of the Company:
BackWeb’s Board and Management are evaluating strategic alternatives for the Company. It is the Board’s present intention to return a substantial portion of the Company’s cash to shareholders, however, the timing, amount and method of doing are still to be decided. BackWeb expects to announce its future plans in this regard in the coming months.
