WASHINGTON--()--Anemic employment numbers released today by the U.S. Department of Labor showing only 96,000 jobs were added last month are the result of four years of GOP obstruction, says the Union of Unemployed (UCubed).
“The GOP claims to be the job creators. In fact, they destroyed our jobs, our neighborhoods and our nation’s economy. And worker bees will not forget that in November.”
“The employment numbers are the GOP's fault,” said UCubed Executive Director Rick Sloan. “They voted against -- or prevented votes on -- legislation that could have jump started our economy. Time and time again, they played politics as our nation's jobless fought to survive.”
“Nero had nothing on these pachyderms,” said Sloan, referring to UCubed’s new BEE MAD @ THE GOP campaign. “They fiddled as the jobless lost everything, and took cruel pleasure watching them stand amid the ashes of their life's work. Having turned the City on the Hill into charred ruins, they now expect us to ignore their role in starting the fires.

With over 118,000 activists who regularly connect with over 31 million Facebook friends, UCubed represents a significant demographic in the upcoming elections. UCubed was formed to assist the millions of unemployed and underemployed Americans, and to provide a structure that allows them to take advantage of their growing numbers.
