NEW YORK--()--Herrick, Feinstein LLP’s Community Association Group, a growing part of the firm’s renowned Real Estate Practice, has added Counsel Matt Meyers, an expert in construction-defect issues and litigation with extensive experience in the Metropolitan region.

Mr. Meyers, who will be based in Herrick’s Newark, NJ office, specializes in assisting associations and boards with sponsor/developer transitions, construction defect litigation and sponsor/developer issues and disputes. Mr. Meyers has successfully negotiated transition- and defect-related settlements totaling nearly $50 million for clients in recent years. Before joining Herrick, Mr. Meyers was a Shareholder with Berman, Record, Sauter & Jardim, P.C. and prior to that he had been with Stark & Stark. He received his J.D. from New York Law School and holds a B.A. from Rutgers University.
Herrick’s Community Association Group clients include more than 200 communities and buildings ranging from as small as four units to as large as several thousand units. The group’s clients include age-restricted and active adult associations, urban and suburban properties, rural, lakefront and waterfront communities as well as resort, golf and hotel condominiums.
