NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Herrick, Feinstein LLP’s Community Association Group, a growing part of the firm’s renowned Real Estate Practice, has added Counsel Matt Meyers, an expert in construction-defect issues and litigation with extensive experience in the Metropolitan region.

Mr. Meyers, who will be based in Herrick’s Newark, NJ office, specializes in assisting associations and boards with sponsor/developer transitions, construction defect litigation and sponsor/developer issues and disputes. Mr. Meyers has successfully negotiated transition- and defect-related settlements totaling nearly $50 million for clients in recent years. Before joining Herrick, Mr. Meyers was a Shareholder with Berman, Record, Sauter & Jardim, P.C. and prior to that he had been with Stark & Stark. He received his J.D. from New York Law School and holds a B.A. from Rutgers University.
