SAN JOSE, Calif.--()--In the same week that Green Technology Solutions (OTCBB: GTSO) mining subsidiary GTSO Resources signed a new agreement with CCI Capital SpA (CCI), the consultant is already pushing forward with meetings and discussions with potential urban mining partners in Chile.
“September will be a month full of milestones for our company”
CCI reported to GTSO on Wednesday that the consulting firm has scored an invite from a Chilean trade minister to a meeting of the nation’s leaders in alternative mining coming up in Toronto. Though details have yet to be finalized, the event could lead to meetings with companies involved in recycling of electronic devices and as well as mining recycling programs—two areas that GTSO is targeting aggressively.
“The fact that things are moving forward so quickly is a terrific assurance that we made the right choice with CCI,” said GTSO CEO Paul Watson. “We were confident in their ability to introduce us to potentially lucrative urban mining opportunities in Chile before we signed, but now that things are moving, we’re even more excited about this partnership.”
CCI maintains offices in both Canada and Chile with a mandate to seek out, identify, structure and develop international business opportunities for its clients. The firm keeps in constant contact with power brokers across two continents, including chambers of commerce, trade and industry associations, economic and export development agencies, embassies and consulates.
GTSO is counting on CCI’s assistance as it works to create market share in the booming e-waste recycling market in South America and beyond. The company also plans to send executives to this year’s premier mining expo in Las Vegas later this month to generate additional business leads in both traditional and urban mining operations.
“September will be a month full of milestones for our company,” Watson said. “We’re working hard every day to increase shareholder value as we grow.”
Urban and traditional mining are both part of GTSO’s plans to service a fast-growing global appetite for rare and precious metals and compete in an exciting sector that includes FMC Corp. (NYSE: FMC), North American Tungsten Corp. Ltd. (TSXV: NTC.V), Newmont Mining Corp. (NYSE: NEM), and Rio Tinto (NYSE: RIO).
