Martifer Solar USA Chief Strategy Officer Kent James Named Panelist at Solar Power International

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kent James, Chief Strategy Officer at Martifer Solar USA, will speak at the 2012 Solar Power International trade show in Orlando, Florida. Mr. James is one of four panelists presenting the concurrent session “Creative and Cutting Edge Financing.”

The session will take place at the Orange County Convention Center (Room 311A) on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, from 2:30 to 4:00 pm. Any Solar Power International attendee holding a Full Conference pass may attend. The session will provide solar industry veterans and newcomers alike with insight into available financing tools to support a range of solar project types. Panelists will discuss ITC finance, securitization, New Market Tax Credit, Bonding, Vendor/EPC Financing, and PACE. Mr. James will share best practices on maximizing solar incentives to meet the tax appetites and financing needs of small utilities, federal and local government, nonprofit organizations, schools, and real estate interests.

Mr. James’ content will draw upon his solar experience to lend a seasoned perspective to the discussion. Active in the solar industry since 1997, he joined Martifer Solar USA in 2009 and was named the company’s Chief Strategy Officer in 2011. There Mr. James has developed a multimillion-dollar project portfolio comprised of both cash and third party deals. He is noted for his ability to create innovative financing models customized to the needs of a diverse client base despite tight credit markets and economic constraints.
