MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--()--Bitcasa, the company that provides infinite storage across all devices, announced today support for Google Chrome. Chrome users can now download content directly from their web browser to their infinite Bitcasa account. The plugin uses the Bitcasa patent-pending deduplication techniques to optimize download speeds, making downloading large files much faster.
“The customer response to our beta has been phenomenal, and we have five petabytes of user data under management now. I am very excited about what we have planned for the rest of the year”
“Supporting Chrome is an integral part of our strategy to provide access to all of your data on every device. We are working on support for other browsers as we speak,” said Tony Gauda, Bitcasa co-founder and CEO. “Instead of downloading content to each of your devices individually, you can now save it directly to Bitcasa and access it anywhere.”
The company announced its public beta program in June. “The customer response to our beta has been phenomenal, and we have five petabytes of user data under management now. I am very excited about what we have planned for the rest of the year,” added Gauda.
Users can access the Bitcasa Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store or from the Bitcasa Chrome page.
