MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--International law firm Dorsey & Whitney LLP today announced appointment of Partners Ken Cutler and Juan Basombrio as co-heads of the firm’s International Group, a newly formed group that will encompass all of the firm’s existing international practice groups. In their new roles, Mr. Cutler and Mr. Basombrio will oversee and coordinate marketing and business development for Dorsey’s wide-ranging international practices globally, including those in the Asia-Pacific region, Africa, Australia, Canada, Europe, India, Israel and Latin America.

Mr. Cutler is a Partner in Dorsey’s Corporate Group with over 35 years of experience in M&A, emerging growth companies, venture capital financing and representation of private and public companies in general corporate matters, financing transactions and SEC-registered public offerings. He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee where he is Partner-in-Charge, Transactions, with responsibility for the firm’s transactional practices around the globe.
Mr. Basombrio is a long-time Partner in Dorsey’s Trial Group, representing clients throughout the United States and internationally in complex business litigation and arbitration. He represents transnational corporations, private companies and foreign governments and their instrumentalities in international litigation and arbitration both in the United States and abroad. His extensive international experience includes matters in or involving Mexico, Bolivia, Belize, the Cayman Islands, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Austria, Germany, England, Spain, Portugal, France, Sweden, Turkey, Ghana, Japan, China, Canada, Hong Kong, Macau, the Philippines and Singapore, among others. Mr. Basombrio has previously served as head of the firm’s Southern California office.
