Dunkin’ Donuts Awards $25,000 in College Scholarships To Students in the Greater Philadelphia Region

Twenty-Five Area Students Selected as Recipients of the Third Annual Dunkin’ Donuts Philadelphia Regional Scholarship Program

PHILADELPHIA--()--Dunkin’ Donuts, America’s all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, and its franchisees in the Greater Philadelphia region are proud to announce the 25 area students selected as recipients of the third annual Dunkin’ Donuts Philadelphia Regional Scholarship Program.

Dunkin’ Donuts is awarding a total of $25,000 to these local students who were selected based on their positive academic record, demonstrated leadership ability and commitment to both their schools and communities. Each student receives a $1,000 scholarship to pursue a full‑time undergraduate course of study at an accredited two‑year or four‑year college, university or vocational-technical school this fall.

“For the third year, Dunkin’ Donuts and all of the franchisees in the Greater Philadelphia Region would like to congratulate the 25 recipients of the 2012 Dunkin’ Donuts Philadelphia Regional Scholarship Program,” said Perry Shah, Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee and Chairman of the Dunkin’ Donuts Advertising Committee for the Greater Philadelphia market. “The program was created as an extension of our local commitment to this region and to help support the guests and families who run on Dunkin’ every day. We are very proud of these accomplished young men and women and wish them success as they continue in their academic careers.”

The Dunkin’ Donuts scholarship program is managed by Scholarship America -- the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship and tuition reimbursement programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals.

The 2012 recipients were selected by Scholarship America from thousands of applications. The program was open to high school seniors living in Southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Kent and New Castle Counties in Delaware who met certain academic and community criteria.
