CCC Announces Annual Copyright License for University Hospitals

DANVERS, Mass.--()--Copyright Clearance Center, Inc. (CCC), a not-for-profit organization and leading provider of content and licensing solutions, announces its Annual Copyright License for University Hospitals.

Developed to meet the content reuse and business needs of university hospitals and their employees, including medical students in clinical training, the license combines the rights and titles of CCC’s corporate and academic licenses to cover the sharing of content among employees, faculty, researchers, and students, reducing the risk of unintended copyright infringement.

“Based on research and customer feedback, we concluded that university hospitals have unique needs that span our Annual Copyright Licenses for both Business and Academic Institutions,” said Miles McNamee, VP, Licensing and Business Development, CCC. “The Annual Copyright License for University Hospitals supports both academic and corporate uses and users within this shared environment.”

Available to any hospital with a medical school, the license enables:

  • The sharing of content from millions of journals, books, blogs, newspapers, e-books and more
  • Efficient practice of evidence-based medicine
  • Simplification of the copyright permission process
  • Reduction of permission costs
  • Minimization of copyright infringement risk
