As Marathon Asset Management’s co-founder, co-managing director and CEO, Bruce Richards is responsible for general oversight of $10+ billion of capital that the firm manages on behalf of its institutional investors. Founded in 1998 by Richards and Louis Hanover, CIO, Marathon focuses on the global credit markets, specifically corporate debt, both performing and distressed debt, and the structured debt markets. The firm employs 130 professionals and maintains its headquarters in New York with investment offices in London and Singapore. Richards received his B.A. in Economics, summa cum laude, from Tulane University in 1982. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
