CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Eric R. Sweitzer of Development Specialists, Inc. was recognized by The M&A Advisor as a winner of the 2012 40 Under 40 Central Region M&A Advisor Recognition Awards.

Mr. Sweitzer joined Development Specialists, Inc. in 2002. During his time at DSI, Mr. Sweitzer has been involved in a variety of cases assisting various constituencies both within and outside of formal reorganization.
Mr. Sweitzer’s experience includes a variety of assignments in the areas of bankruptcy proceedings, crisis management consulting and litigation consulting. He specializes in financial modeling and forecasting, budgeting, crisis management and short-term cash forecasting, data analysis, forensic accounting and monitoring various facets of daily business operations.

Prior to joining DSI, Mr. Sweitzer was an Audit Supervisor with Schneider Downs & Co., Inc., a major regional accounting firm based in Pittsburgh, where his focus was servicing manufacturing, automotive and benefit plan engagements. Prior to Schneider Downs, Mr. Sweitzer was with American Express Tax and Business Services where he worked on audit teams servicing manufacturing and automotive clients.
Mr. Sweitzer received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Kent State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors.
